Raw Wool Fertilizer Pellets are just wool with whatever incidental manure and bedding may be in the wool. Wool pellets hold between 20% -30% of their weight in water, which helps retain moisture in the soil for potted plants. Up to 50% of the weight of wool is carbon. When wool is buried in garden soil, it improves nutrient uptake by plant roots but also aids in improving soil
tilth. Raw Wool Fertilizer Pellets break down in the soil and will slowly feed plant nutrients over a period of up to 6 months. After 6 months the wool pellets will be completely broken down in the soil.
A 16 oz bag can feed a 30 square foot garden bed or 12 gallons of potting soil.
